Privacy Policy

Badriyya Women's College is committed to protecting the privacy of its students, staff, and website visitors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

a) Through the college management portal (staff-entered data):

  • Student name, date of birth, and registration number
  • Class and batch details
  • Blood group
  • Personal email address and mobile number
  • Permanent address
  • Parent or guardian names, relationships, and contact numbers
  • Emergency contact details

b) Through the college website (visitor data):

  • Admission enquiry details submitted via the enquiry form
  • Basic browsing data collected automatically by the web server (such as IP address and browser type)

2. How We Use the Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

  • Managing student records, attendance, and academic progress
  • Responding to admission enquiries
  • Communicating with students, parents, and guardians on academic matters
  • Issuing certificates and official documents
  • Maintaining emergency contact records

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any payment or financial information. No credit card, debit card, or bank account details are processed or stored through this website or the management portal.

(Note: While we do not process real-time financial transactions on the public website, the management portal does securely manage internal fee collections, admission fees, and financial reports. This data is strictly restricted to authorized office staff and administrators.)

4. Access to Information

Access to student and staff data is restricted to authorised personnel only:

  • The master administrator can view and update all student records
  • Teachers can access attendance and assignment data for the classes assigned to them
  • Students can view their own academic progress, attendance, and assignment history through the student portal

No student data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

Student records are retained for the duration of the student's enrollment. After graduation or departure, records may be exported as archival data and the active class data will be removed from the system. Historical records are retained as required by applicable educational regulations.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The college website may use basic session cookies to support website functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising scripts.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access. The management portal uses role-based access controls, and staff accounts are managed by the Principal. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately using the details below.

8. Our IT Infrastructure Guarantees

To ensure the absolute safety of your data, our college IT infrastructure includes rigorous security measures:

  • Input Validation & Integrity: All data you type into our system is strictly validated before it is saved. This prevents invalid or corrupted data from entering the system and ensures that official records (like exam results or attendance) are perfectly accurate.
  • Secure Access Management: Access to the management portal is strictly controlled using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). A student, for example, cannot view the system from a teacher's or admin's perspective, and vice versa.
  • Safe Document Handling: If you upload documents (such as photos or certificates), we enforce strict limits on file sizes and file types to protect the system from malicious uploads that could crash the platform.
  • Permanent Data Retention: If a class or a course is retired from the active system, our systems automatically safeguard all historical data (like attendance, fees, and grades). We never permanently delete historical records, ensuring your academic history is always available for official audits.
  • Session Security: We use secure session management to ensure that if you walk away from your device, no one else can access your account. You must log in again to continue. This prevents unauthorized access to your personal academic records.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the college website with a revised effective date.
